Belonging Committee
At the Colorado Coalition for the Homeless (CCH), we are empowered to show up as our authentic selves because everyone deserves a place to belong. Our Belonging focused efforts embrace the range of the human experience and welcome the dynamic aspect it brings to CCH.
Building Bridges to Belonging: A Transformative Two-Day Retreat
Recently, the Colorado Coalition for the Homeless hosted a powerful two-day Building Bridges to Belonging retreat, bringing together staff from across departments to deepen our collective commitment to trauma-informed care, equity, and connection.
Through interactive workshops, grounding exercises, and reflective dialogue, participants explored the allyship, and the principles of allyship and belonging. The retreat featured two wonderful keynote speakers, Liz Elsen from the Center on Colfax and Maileen Hamto via the Colors of Influence. Our guest speakers and breakout hosts (Nicholas Manning, Toni Airozo, and Lizz Jackson) lead group activities centered on empathy, resilience, and belonging—equipping staff with information and practical tools to connect with their fellow employees successfully.
