Free exams for eligible patients - small fees may apply for making glasses
Developed by a Stout Street Clinic nurse and volunteer ophthalmologist in 1999, the Eye Clinic provides basic eye exams and referrals along with eye-glass repairs and adjustments.
The Clinic is completely supported by financial contributions from local foundations, clubs, businesses and the local medical community. Over 3,000 hours per year are donated by an all-volunteer team of 50 dedicated ophthalmologists, opticians, and support staff.
The Eye Clinic provided vision services to 901 patients during 1,400 visits in 2010.
