Series Explores How Americans Are Using Social Innovation To Confront Local Issues Resonating Across the Nation

DENVER and WASHINGTON, D.C. (March 05, 2015)—Denver has been chosen as a model for urban renewal and innovation by Atlantic Media and Allstate. The city will host the kick-off for The Renewal Series, the newest events platform from The Next Economy and The Heartland Monitor Poll series. Headlined by Denver Mayor Michael B. Hancock and Director of AmeriCorps Bill Basl, the event will convene local and national start-ups, incubators, community groups and members of local and national government for a summit on how cities like Denver are taking innovative approaches to local issues resonating across the nation.
The event will also serve as the official launch of The Renewal Awards, a grant program furnished by Allstate that will spotlight and reward individuals and organizations whose projects and ideas are driving measurable change in their communities.
The Renewal Series: Denver will begin at 9 a.m. (MT) on March 11 at The Alliance for Sustainable Colorado.
