Natural Learning Classroom

Coalition President John Parvensky, Congressman Ed Perlmutter, Denver City Councilwoman Robin Kniech, RCC Director Susan Dunne, Amy Lange (CH2M HILL), Trinity Camper (FCI Constructors), Angie Stevens-Culverhouse (RCC Mom) and her son cut the ribbon to officially open the Natural Learning Classroom.

The Colorado Coalition for the Homeless (CCH), in partnership
with employees from CH2M HILL and FCI Constructors, has built a Natural Learning Classroom at our Renaissance Children’s Center (RCC). The Renaissance Children’s Center provides services to children and youth from birth to age 12, including those who are homeless and those of all incomes in the community seeking
quality child care.

The Natural Learning Classroom, which converted and expanded the existing space from a traditional play area to an outdoor classroom that promotes math, science, literacy and other skills, is used by approximately 200 children each year. Thanks to CH2M HILL and FCI Construction who donated thousands of dollars and volunteer hours to bring the natural classroom to life.
