Denver, CO - Individuals and businesses are coming together during Home for the Holidays Week(Nov. 10-14) to honor and recognize the Coalition’s work to end homelessness for thousands of men, women and children over the last 25 years. Three public events are planned.
On Wednesday, November 10th, the community is encouraged to enjoy delicious local eats and support the Coalition by dining at one of the generous Denver restaurants participating in Dine Out. The restaurants will donate 10% of their net proceeds from that day. We have 30 participating restaurants located in the city’s most popular dining districts including: LoDo, Cherry Creek, the Highlands, South Pearl Street, South Broadway, Colfax and the Ball Park neighborhood. Some of the participating restaurants are: Table 6, Strings, Snooze, Mona’s, Black Pearl, Beatrice & Woodsley, Deluxe, Marco’s Coal-Fired Pizza, Gaetano’s, El Camino, Le Central, Lala’s Wine Bar + Pizzeria and the Cherry Cricket.
The Coalition’s 25th Anniversary Gala on Saturday, November 13th promises to be a great night out featuring a special performance by a surprise guest – a nationally-acclaimed rock band with Colorado roots. (NOTE: The Coalition is contractually restricted from naming the band except on our website and in direct email promotions to our supporters). Former Denver Bronco Rod Smith will emcee the event.
The night is black-tie optional and includes a reception, dinner and live music at Invesco Field at Mile High’s Club Level. Individual tickets are $195 for dinner and the concert or $100 for the entertainment only.
The 2nd annual 5k & 1K Family Fun Run at City Park will round out the Home for the Holidays week. The race course is USATF certified and there will be timing chips for competitive runners. It’s designed to be a fun event for runners, families and teams. Pre-event day registration is $30 and event-day registration is $35. The 1K Fun Run is free.
