Diversity

The Coalition zealously strives to maintain a work environment that:

  • respects differences
  • values inclusiveness
  • fosters cooperation and teamwork

Furthermore, we strongly believe that our culturally diverse workforce promotes innovative approaches to service delivery.

New employees attend diversity and inclusiveness training within the first year. Unlike many employer-sponsored diversity trainings, which focus on political correctness, our training includes practical tools for working more effectively with our consumers, which come to us from widely varied backgrounds.

The Coalition’s Non-Discrimination Policy

The Colorado Coalition for the Homeless is committed to delivering services, making employment-related decisions, selecting volunteers and selecting vendors without regard to age over 40, race, sex, color, religion, creed, national origin, ancestry, disability, marital status, military status, sexual orientation, gender expression or any other applicable status protected by law.

The Coalition endeavors to make reasonable accommodations for qualified individuals with known disabilities and employees whose work requirements interfere with a religious belief unless doing so would result in an undue hardship to the Coalition.
